My Broken Ankle     Go to: The Accident Before Surgery After Surgery Arthritis Infection No Hardware       No Hardware        The hardware that was installed to hold my ankle together was removed.  Because infections tend to cling to metal, the metal had to be removed before starting 6 weeks of IV antibiotic treatments.  When I am finished with the antibiotic treatments and have additional x-rays taken of my left ankle, I will post them on this page.
