| My surgeon started to notice arthritis in the left ankle in June of 2008. X-rays were taken several times between June of 2008 and when these x-rays were taken in 2009. I am only posting the last set of x-rays showing the arthritis. |

The area circled above is where my ankle has deteriorated. If you go back and look at the first x-ray from
March 27, 2008 on the Ater Surgery page, you will see how the bone appeared before deterioration. Notice that all of the space is now gone. It is now bone on bone with very little cartilage left. (Anterior View) |

| In this x-ray, the left foot was turned slightly to the right. You can see how the ankle has collapsed on itself. |

| The circled area is where calcification has formed near an incision point. The arrows point to two blood vessels (or possibly arteries) which should not show up in this type of x-ray). The blood vessels (arteries) show up in this x-ray due to possible calcification, which may or may not be interfering with circulation. |
